The VIA is pleased to announce a new and improved Salary Survey for our members.

The VIA has entered into a partnership with RSM McGladrey, a third party accounting firm, to utilize their existing salary survey software. This partnership offers many benefits to the VIA and our members. The value added features of the new survey are:

1.  Salary data for 186 jobs compared to the 136 job descriptions found in the previous survey.

2.  Salary data and general compensation data for Executive positions.

3.  Comprehensive incentive pay information for all positions.

4.  An increase in the number of organizations providing salary data for jobs in the Fox Valley. The Illinois Manufacturing Association (IMA) also partners with RSM McGladrey to process their salary survey data. To increase participation in both surveys, data provided by companies located in the Fox Valley will be included in both the VIA Salary Survey and the IMA Salary Survey. 

5.  VIA members who complete the VIA Salary Survey will automatically be sent a FREE PDF copy of both the 2009 VIA Salary Survey and the 2009 IMA Salary Survey. The completed salary survey reports will be sent to you in July 2009.

6.  Hard copies of the salary survey are still available for a $25 fee for members who participate. Members who do not participate will be charged $150 for a PDF or $175 for a hard copy. In addition, members can choose to have special cuts of the salary survey data for a nominal fee. Please see the order form in the Salary Survey questionnaire for more pricing information on options for special cuts.

To Participate:

To participate, download the 2009 VIA Salary Survey Questionnaire and the 2009 VIA Participant Guide. The questionnaire is formatted in an easy to use excel spreadsheet for you to enter and submit your data. The job descriptions in the new survey are similar to the jobs in the previous salary survey. However, since the titles and descriptions will vary somewhat, it is particularly important to review the job description information carefully to ensure appropriate match with jobs in your organization.

All information reported in the questionnaire is held in the strictest confidence and onlyVIA and RSM McGladrey staff directly involved in processing the surveys will see the raw data.
